Embedded Antenna can not 100% cover all your application requirements:

* Signal Strength may not be high enough (refer to Antenna Type Datasheet referenced below)

* In 'some' installations, an external antenna will need to be installled away from the equipment

* CDMA applications require higher antenna diversity performance

Solution:

GTT have developed a range of mechanical RF Autoswitches that can be designed into new designs with benefits over PCB-based solutions and can also be easily retrofit to existing solutions

This solution considerably reduces installation cost and time where there are multiple installation points with unknown RF signal strengths
